Pirro Announces Arrest Of Woman Who Threatened
Woman Arrested for Threatening Former President Trump
U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro announced Monday that Nathalie Rose Jones, 50,
of Lafayette, Indiana, was arrested for threatening former President Donald Trump.
“She did come from New York to Washington, D.C. and she has been threatening… even worse as she got to D.C.,” Pirro said.
“She is now in custody.
She will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
Make no mistake about that.”
Jones was charged with threatening to kill, kidnap, or harm the President and transmitting threats across state lines.
According to court documents, between August 2 and August 15, she posted multiple threats on Instagram and Facebook,
calling Trump a “terrorist” and a “Nazi” and urging his removal. In one post,
she wrote she was willing to “sacrificially kill this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea.”
On August 16, after participating in a protest near the White House, Jones was interviewed again and admitted to posting the threats.
Law enforcement confirmed her ownership of the accounts and arrested her.
Pirro emphasized, “Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution.
Make no mistake—justice will be served.” She also thanked the Secret Service for their “tireless commitment to protecting our leaders and our nation.”
