The government has shut down, and Vice President JD Vance says Democrats are at fault.
He called it the “Schumer Shutdown,” stressing Republicans already passed a clean funding bill.
“You don’t shut the government down because you have a policy disagreement…
and that’s what the Democrats have done.”

Vance noted Democrats once insisted shutdowns were irresponsible.
Now, “the far-left faction of Senate Democrats, they shut down the government…
because they’re not getting what they want.”
Healthcare for Illegal Immigrants
Democrats’ push for taxpayer-funded healthcare for undocumented immigrants drew sharp criticism.
Vance said: “There are two Biden-era programs that explicitly gave the taxpayer health care money to
illegal aliens that we turned off when President Trump took over.”

Vance argued Democrats are driven by hatred of Trump, not good governance:
