My Daughter Threw Me Out Of My House
A Father’s Second Chance
I raised my daughter Amber alone after her mom died. I worked three jobs and prayed for her daily.
When she grew up, I warned her: “Amber, he’s not a good man. Don’t marry him.” But she refused to listen.
On her wedding day, I said, “I will never bless a marriage with him.
He’s CRUEL and UNTRUSTWORTHY.” She screamed, “This is MY LIFE, Dad. LEAVE!”
Years later, I found her pregnant, homeless, and broken.
“Where’s your son?” I asked.
Through tears, she admitted: “He’s with a foster family… Louis started hitting me.”
My heart shattered, but I took her home.
Together, we rebuilt her life. She got counseling, found steady work, and gave birth to Grace.
In time, the court returned her son Mason.
Now our home is full of love and laughter.
As I tell her often: “Forgiveness doesn’t mean giving someone access to hurt you again.”
