Justin Bieber: From Teen Idol to Global Music Icon

Justin Drew Bieber (born March 1, 1994) is a Canadian singer known for blending pop, R&B, and electronic music, shaping modern popular sound.

He was discovered in 2008 by record executive Scooter Braun and signed to RBMG Records, quickly gaining fame with his debut EP My World (2009).

Its hit singles made him a teen idol and one of the youngest stars to dominate charts.

His follow-up, Under the Mistletoe (2011), became the first Christmas album by a male artist to debut at number one in the U.S.

With Believe (2012), Bieber experimented with dance-pop and made history as the first artist to have five U.S. number-one albums by age 18.

Despite controversies between 2013 and 2014, he redefined his image with the EDM-influenced Purpose (2015),

which produced global hits “Love Yourself,” “Sorry,” and “What Do You Mean?”

He later topped charts through collaborations like “I’m the One” and the “Despacito” remix, becoming the first artist to debut new No.

1 songs in consecutive weeks. “Despacito” earned him his first Latin Grammy Award and was named Billboard’s greatest Latin song of all time.

Bieber continued to evolve musically, releasing “10,000 Hours” with Dan + Shay in 2019,

winning the Grammy for Best Country Duo/Group Performance, proving his lasting influence across genres.
