101-Year-Old Woman Who Still
101-Year-Old Jeweler Shares Secrets to a Fulfilling Life
At 101, Ann Angeletti still works nearly every day at her Cresskill jewelry shop, Curiosity Jewelry.
“If I retire, I would die,” she told ABC7 NY.
Angeletti began working as a girl in her family’s Brooklyn grocery store and
later as a Navy Yard server during World War II. In 1964, she opened her own store after seeing a “for rent” sign.
“I called the owner and asked him how much is the rent, and he said $85 a month.”
Even now, she works six days a week with help from her daughter and granddaughter.

Her secret to longevity? “Must get up, you must shower,
you must eat, you must take care of yourself. You must exercise.”
“I’m happy working every day,” she said.
Viewers called her story an “inspiration,”
while others joked she had “won the genetic lottery.”
