Trump Praised By Clinton
1. Breakthrough Agreement
Former President Donald Trump is receiving unusual bipartisan praise
after helping broker a peace deal between Israel and Hamas,
ending two years of conflict.
The agreement includes the release of all 20 Israeli
hostages and more than 1,900 Palestinian prisoners.
2. Bipartisan Approval
Bill Clinton said Trump and his team “deserve great credit”
for pursuing negotiations, calling the ceasefire a chance to turn a
“fragile moment” into long-term peace.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer labeled the hostages’ return “a wonderful day.”
3. Trump’s Role
Trump urged Israeli leaders to “choose diplomacy over continued fighting,”
describing the deal as an important step toward stability.
4. Wider Democratic Response and Outlook
Democrats including Hakeem Jeffries and Barack Obama
welcomed the ceasefire and humanitarian gains,
even without directly crediting Trump.
Trump acknowledged the ceasefire may not hold but
pledged continued support for peace efforts.
