Kat Timpf Welcomes Baby, Faces Cancer Diagnosis
What began as a routine pre-labor checkup for Kat Timpf turned serious when doctors found “a small lesion in her lung.” Soon after, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
Timpf was diagnosed with Stage 0 non–small cell lung cancer. It hadn’t spread and was considered highly treatable. Her doctors recommended a “minimally invasive lobectomy” after she recovers from childbirth.
Known for her humor, Timpf said she was “delivering a baby and a biopsy report” on the same day. The mix of joy and shock sparked an outpouring of support from friends, fans, and colleagues.
Choosing openness, Timpf shared her story to raise awareness about early detection and screenings. Now home, she balances motherhood with recovery and preparation for surgery, stepping into a new role as both mom and cancer advocate.
