Georgia Toddler Hospitalized After Severe Yellow Jacket Attack

Georgia Boy Stung Over 150 Times by Yellow Jackets
A Georgia family is in crisis after 7-year-old Beckham Reed was stung more than 150 times by yellow jackets while riding a toy car with cousins.

The swarm attacked after they unknowingly disturbed a hidden nest, covering him in stings and flooding his body with venom.

Initially treated with morphine and Benadryl, Beckham’s condition worsened within 24 hours — his skin turned yellow, and tests showed multi-organ failure.

Born with only one kidney, he was placed in the ICU on a ventilator and dialysis. “There is no antivenom for yellow jackets,” his family said.

“All doctors can do is support his body while it works through the toxins.”

Community donations and prayers have poured in. Doctors report early signs of improvement in his kidney and liver, but his recovery will be slow and uncertain.
