Tragic Loss for Two Young Sisters
Two sisters, aged 4 and 8, lost both parents within 18 days. Their mother, Bharti Patoliya, died after a “courageous battle with cancer.” Their father, Arjun Patoliya, 37, was killed in the July 12 Air India crash, India’s deadliest aviation disaster in over 30 years.
Journey and Tragedy
Arjun was traveling to scatter Bharti’s ashes in Gujarat, fulfilling her final wish. Tragically, “Arjun left to bid farewell to his wife, never returned to the children they both raised.”
Family and Support
The family remains in shock, awaiting answers about the crash. Arjun’s mother, Kanchan Patoliya, said, “If needed, I will fly to London… and take care of my granddaughters.”
Fundraiser for the Girls
A GoFundMe campaign raised nearly £576,000 to support the girls’ futures. The fundraiser states, “Now, these two beautiful young girls have been left without parents — their world turned upside down in just over two weeks.”
