Sunny Hostin Speaks Out on Shocking Lawsuit Targeting Her Husband
Sunny Hostin, co-host of The View and a prominent voice in daytime television, is standing by her husband, Dr. Emmanuel “Manny” Hostin, amid a serious legal controversy. The couple is now facing allegations of fraud and embezzlement brought forward in a lawsuit by American Transit Insurance Co., a New York-based insurance company specializing in coverage for rideshare and taxi services, including Uber and Lyft.
The lawsuit accuses Dr. Hostin, an orthopedic surgeon and owner of Hostin Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, of fraudulent activities. However, Sunny Hostin has come forward to firmly reject the claims, defending her husband’s integrity and professionalism.
In a strongly worded statement, Sunny alleged that the insurance company is engaging in a smear campaign against her husband and his practice. “This lawsuit is an attempt to avoid paying for necessary medical and surgical procedures for people in pain,” Sunny said. She further asserted that the allegations are baseless and lack merit.
The Emmy Award-winning television host also took aim at the insurance company’s track record, accusing it of filing frivolous lawsuits to avoid its financial obligations. “This company has a history of filing frivolous claims, has been investigated by New York State, and has even been sued by Uber Technologies,” she added.
