Buttery Pecan Snowball Cookies

These classic cookies are melt-in-your-mouth treats with rich pecan flavor—

perfect for holidays or anytime you want something sweet.

Ingredients

  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup powdered sugar + 1 cup for rolling

  • Pinch of salt

  • 2 sticks butter, room temperature

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 cup finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.

  2. Mix flour, ½ cup sugar, and salt. Cut in butter until crumbly.

  3. Stir in vanilla and pecans. Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place 2 inches apart.

  4. Bake 12–15 minutes, until bottoms are golden but tops are pale.

  5. Cool slightly, roll in powdered sugar, then roll again once fully cooled.

Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
