Daring photo series challenges female

In a world increasingly valuing authenticity and inclusivity,

photographer Ben Hopper’s Natural Beauty series is redefining how we perceive feminine beauty.

Launched in London, the project boldly challenges the long-standing taboo surrounding women’s body hair—

particularly armpit hair—through raw, elegant portraits that celebrate individuality.

Hopper’s aim isn’t to advocate for or against shaving,

but to question why natural hair has been stigmatized in the first place.

Historically, hair removal was associated with class, hygiene, and femininity.

By the 20th century, advertisements and fashion trends made smooth skin a social expectation rather than a choice.

Hopper’s project disrupts that narrative by pairing high-fashion aesthetics with natural features,

prompting reflection on what beauty really means.

The women featured describe feelings of liberation, vulnerability, and empowerment.

“It felt like being able to breathe,” said model Kyotocat.

Natural Beauty has sparked global discussion—praised for honesty,

criticized for discomfort—but its impact is undeniable.

More than a photo series, it’s a statement on body autonomy,

urging viewers to reconsider beauty as freedom of choice, not conformity.
