Crockett Criticizes Charlie Kirk Ahead of Memorial
Hours before Charlie Kirk’s memorial in Arizona, Rep. Jasmine Crockett told CNN she opposed honoring him because of his record.
She said Kirk often spread “rhetoric that specifically targeted people of color” and noted,
“For the most part, the only people who voted ‘No’ were people of color.”
Personal Grievances
Crockett added that Kirk had criticized her on his podcast, tying her to the “great white replacement.”
She said, “I’m not honoring that kind of stuff, especially as a civil rights attorney.”
Nation Mourns
Meanwhile, over 200,000 people lined up for Kirk’s service at State Farm Stadium,
attended by Donald Trump, JD Vance, and other leaders.
Erika Kirk Speaks Out
Kirk’s widow Erika revealed she wants the government, not herself,
to decide if his alleged killer faces the death penalty: “I do not want that man’s blood on my ledger.”
She recalled seeing her husband’s body and said he died with “a Mona Lisa-like half-smile.”
