Donald Trump insists “I never tell a lie”
Trump Makes Headlines at NFL Game
President Donald Trump attended the Detroit Lions vs. Washington Commanders game,
arriving nearly 80 minutes late and drawing a mix of cheers and boos.
This marked the first time in almost 50 years a sitting president attended a regular-season NFL game.
Trump joined the FOX Sports broadcast booth during the third quarter.
When asked about his football days, he admitted, “I’m not sure I had any [touchdowns],”
adding, “At least you realize that I never tell a lie, right?” The moment went viral online.
The eight-minute interview also touched on politics, with Trump criticizing President Biden,
and he even offered light commentary on the game, predicting plays and calling for a touchdown.
He received a framed team jersey from the Commanders’ owner, amid rumors —
unconfirmed by ESPN — that Trump wants the team’s new stadium named after him.
