Father who murdered 10-year-old daughter
Sara Sharif’s Tragic Death and Aftermath
Horrific Murder
In August 2023, 10-year-old Sara Sharif of Woking, Surrey,
was found dead after enduring a “campaign of torture” by her father, Urfan Sharif, and two family members.
Sara suffered more than 70 injuries, including burns, fractures, bite marks, and traumatic brain injury.
Sharif confessed: “She died because of me.”
Legal Consequences
On December 17, 2024, Sharif was sentenced to life with a minimum of 40 years,
stepmother Beinash Batool received life with 33 years, and uncle Faisal Malik was sentenced to 16 years.
Mr. Justice Cavanagh called their actions “a campaign of torture” with cruelty “almost inconceivable.”
Sara’s mother, Olga Domin, called the trio “executioners” and described her daughter as “now an angel who looks down on us from heaven.”

Prison Attack
After entering HMP Belmarsh, Sharif was targeted by inmates following the unspoken code against child abusers.
On New Year’s Day, he was attacked with a jagged tuna can lid, sustaining severe neck and facial injuries but survived.
Public Reaction
The case sparked global outrage, and his assault in prison was widely seen as retribution for his crimes against Sara.
