Four Members of Politician’s Family Killed
Tragic Helicopter Crash
Illinois gubernatorial candidate Darren Bailey and his wife, Cindy,
faced heartbreak on October 22 when they learned their son Zachary, his wife Kelsey, and their two children,
Vada Rose, 12, and Samuel, 7, died in a helicopter crash in Montana.

Their other grandson, Finn, 10, was safe as he was not on board.
“Darren and Cindy are heartbroken by this unimaginable loss,” the campaign statement said.
Investigation Underway
The National Transportation Safety Board confirmed the Robinson Helicopters R66 went down near Ekalaka, Montana.
Zachary was piloting with his family aboard. “I’m heartbroken.
This is something that’s never supposed to happen,” said Aaron Del Mar, Darren’s running mate.
Faith and Service
Zachary had earned his pilot’s license through a Christian ministry, delivering aid in South America.
Aaron recalled, “He just was a good guy.”
The family’s work in farming, ministry, and community service reflected their faith and dedication.
Support and Legacy
Aaron emphasized, “The outpour of support and prayers is something I’ve never seen.”
He hopes Finn will grow up knowing the family’s legacy of love, service, and faith.
