Girls Missing After Texas Flood

Flash Flood Devastates Texas, Claims Lives
At least 51 people, including 15 children, have died after a sudden flash flood hit Kerr County, Texas, during Fourth of July celebrations.

Camp Mystic Tragedy
The Guadalupe River overflowed within minutes, sweeping through Camp Mystic, where 750 girls were attending summer camp. Around 20 children remain missing. Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said they may just be “out of communication,” as the camp lost electricity, water, and WiFi. A mother confirmed to CNN that her 9-year-old daughter, Janie Hunt, died in the flood.

Ongoing Search Efforts
Kerrville Police stated, “Rescue crews will continue until we find all our citizens.” Officials added, “Hundreds of first responders are here… Our thoughts remain with those who are unaccounted for.”
