Gov. Walz Responds Amid Reports Of Shoot

Shooting at Minneapolis Catholic School
A shooting occurred at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis during the first week of classes.

Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz wrote, “I’m praying for our kids and teachers whose first week of school was marred by this horrific act of violence.”

Shooter Contained
Police confirmed the shooter, dressed in black and armed with a rifle, is deceased.

Authorities stated there is “no active threat to the community” and urged people to “stay away from the area to allow emergency personnel to help victims.”

Response from Officials
Multiple agencies, including the FBI and Minnesota State Patrol, responded.

President Trump said, “The White House will continue to monitor this terrible situation.

Please join me in praying for everyone involved!”

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem added, “I am praying for the victims of this heinous attack and their families.”

Families were directed to a reunification site at the school, while parents escorted children away from the scene.

Residents initially mistook gunfire for construction noise.
