In the quiet town of Pinneberg, Germany, tragedy struck when a late-night fire claimed the life of nine-year-old Sofia.
The blaze broke out around 11:00 PM in the attic of the family’s home,
where Sofia and her brother slept. Her 14-year-old brother noticed the flames and alerted their parents,
but the family was unable to reach Sofia as “the thick smoke and flames had already made it impossible.”
Rescue and Injuries
A neighbor used a ladder to rescue Sofia’s parents and brother, but “it was already too late to reach Sofia.”
Her father suffered severe burns while trying to save her and remains under medical care.
