Valiente’s Rescue: From Suffering to a Loving Home
Years of Abuse
Valiente, a dog in Mexico, spent years chained on a rooftop, exposed to extreme weather with no food or water. His chain was so tight it nearly strangled him as he tried to escape. “We couldn’t leave him there,” wrote the Seres Libres Foundation, which stepped in to help after receiving multiple reports.
Dramatic Rescue and First Meal
On November 6, despite limited resources, Seres Libres—with help from authorities—rescued Valiente and rushed him to a veterinary hospital. A video of him eating and drinking for the first time in ages moved thousands. It quickly went viral, with over a million likes on Instagram.
Severe Health Issues, Gradual Recovery
Valiente was found in critical condition: severely malnourished, dehydrated, and suffering kidney damage. But with medical care, donations, and love, his condition slowly improved. “She began to show signs of improvement,” the foundation shared.
A Happy Ending
On December 28, Seres Libres announced Valiente’s adoption. “He is pampered, smiling, and happy. We love these happy endings,” they posted alongside a photo of the healthy, joyful dog in his new owner’s arms.
