“The plane reportedly encountered a mechanical issue,” causing it to hit trees and terrain, though no one on the ground was harmed.
Emergency Response and Victims’ Status
Three people were airlifted, and another was taken by ambulance, while others had minor injuries.
“Three individuals were LifeFlighted to Nashville hospitals,” said City Administrator Jason Quick.

Investigation Underway
The FAA and NTSB are investigating, focusing on “the pilot, the aircraft, and the operating environment.”
Skydive Tennessee, which owns the plane, is cooperating fully.

whose response likely prevented a far more serious outcome,” said Skydive Tennessee owner Hans Paulsen.
The community continues to offer prayers and support for the injured.
