The City and County of Honolulu Medical Examiner reported it as a suspected suicide.<\/p>\n
In a statement to\u00a0Metro<\/em>, the family expressed being \u201cheartbroken and overwhelmed with grief,\u201d requesting privacy.<\/p>\n Later, Madsen told\u00a0The Los Angeles Times<\/em>\u00a0he was in shock, recalling his last text from Hudson: \u201cI love you dad.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t see any signs of depression,\u201d Madsen said. \u201cHe was looking forward to the future.
