The United States Senate voted 53\u201346<\/strong> on Tuesday to advance the confirmation of<\/p>\n

President Donald Trump\u2019s nominee, Anne-Leigh Moe, to serve as a U.S. District Judge for the Middle District of Florida.<\/p>\n

Trump praised the decision on Truth Social, writing,<\/p>\n

\u201cI am pleased to announce the nomination of Anne-Leigh Gaylord Moe to serve as Judge on the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

He added that she \u201chas fiercely advocated for Sunshine State residents\u201d<\/strong> and would \u201cprioritize LAW AND ORDER.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

Moe has served on Florida\u2019s Second District Court of Appeal since 2022 and<\/p>\n

previously worked nearly a decade as a circuit judge in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit, after earlier serving as an assistant state attorney in Tampa.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, political analysis suggests the ongoing government shutdown has not damaged Trump\u2019s support.<\/p>\n

CNN analyst Harry Enten said, \u201cThis shutdown hasn\u2019t eaten into Donald Trump support at all. <\/strong><\/p>\n

His net approval rating is actually up a point.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

He also noted that fewer Americans blame Trump for the shutdown compared with 2018\u20132019, helping keep his approval stable during the standoff in Congress.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
