Inside Trump’s Operation: 12 Bunker Busters
U.S. Strikes Iran’s Fordow Nuclear Site
President Trump ordered a major attack on Iran’s Fordow nuclear complex, using twelve massive 30,000-pound “bunker buster” bombs dropped by B-2 stealth bombers. Fox News host Sean Hannity said, “Fordow was ‘gone,’” confirmed by a U.S. military source who added Fordow was “taken off the table.”
Use of Powerful Precision Weapons
This was the first combat use of the GBU-57 Massive Ordnance Penetrator, designed to destroy deep underground bunkers. The Air Force called it “precision-guided” and able to “strike tunnels and deeply buried, reinforced bunkers.”
Tomahawk Missiles and Israeli Role
In addition to the bombs, 30 Tomahawk missiles from submarines hit two more nuclear sites. Hannity reported the strikes were part of a wider effort to cripple Iran’s nuclear program. Israel helped by disabling Iranian air defenses and targeting other sites.
Iran’s Threats of Retaliation
Tensions rose as Iran warned of serious consequences. Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei spoke of “irreparable damage,” while Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said, “any American intervention would be a recipe for an all-out war in the region.”
