A tragic accident on September 16, 2025, in Cancun took the lives of doctors Lizeth González and Gabriel Simental, their two young children, and other family members.
The couple, celebrating their third anniversary, had become a symbol of love and dedication—both as professionals and parents.
Friends remember them as “soul mates, inseparable,” while tributes flood social media.
Brenda González, Lizeth’s sister, wrote: “If God had given me the opportunity to choose my big sister again,
I would choose you… until eternity.”
Gabriel’s friend Are Castillo recalled,
“You encouraged me to follow in your footsteps…
The advice you gave me as a teenager… is still present.”
Their medical community mourns deeply.
“We will remember you – and we will remember them – with love,”
said Beatriz Elías from Hospital Ángeles Lomas.
Now, their memory lives on in those they inspired—through love,
