Beloved ‘Lilo & Stitch’ Actor Passes Away
Fans are mourning the loss of Lilo & Stitch live-action actor David Hekili Kenui Bell, who died on June 12 at age 46—less than a month after the film’s release. He played the memorable Shave Ice Man, whose recurring gag made him a fan favorite.
Tributes poured in online. One fan shared, “I just watched Lilo & Stitch, I loved his part, what tragic news. RIP.” Another added, “He made us laugh so hard.”
His sister, Jalene, confirmed the news: “It is with a heavy heart I share that my sweet, generous, talented, funny, brilliant, and handsome little brother… will spend today in the company of our Heavenly Father.”
Jalene also said he loved acting and was excited to see his role in theaters with family. His agent called him “one of my best talents” and “a gentle giant.”
Police say no foul play is suspected.
