Rare 9/11 Footage Released After 23 Years
A never-before-seen video of the Twin Towers collapsing has surfaced, 23 years after the 9/11 attacks.
Kei Sugimoto, who filmed the footage on a “Sony VX2000 with teleconverter” from “the roof of 64 St Marks Place,”
recently discovered the tape in an old box and shared it on YouTube.
A Unique View of History
The video shows the towers falling from a previously unseen angle.
Viewers were struck by its uniqueness.
“This footage offers a unique perspective not seen from the south or east,” one commenter said.
Another added, “It’s crazy that we’re almost 23 years out and still getting new footage.”
The Power of Preservation
The discovery reminds us how much history may be hidden away.
“Makes me wonder how much history is being stored in people’s attics,” one person wrote.
Remembering 9/11
The footage is a haunting reminder of the nearly 3,000 lives lost in the 2001 attacks.
