Hip hop legend Master P recently shared insights into his relationship with the late Soulja Slim,
shedding light on the artist’s troubled past and unfulfilled potential.
Soulja Slim, a key figure in Southern hip hop,
was known for his raw storytelling before his life was tragically cut short in 2003 due to gun violence.
Master P recalled their first encounter when Soulja Slim attempted to rob one of his producers.
Upon realizing who Master P was, Soulja Slim expressed a desire to turn his life around, quitting drugs and pursuing music.
This conversation led to Soulja Slim signing with Master P’s No Limit Records.
Reflecting on his talent, Master P called Soulja Slim one of the most gifted artists he had met,
comparing him to Tupac Shakur for his authentic portrayal of street life.
