A Mysterious Model
After praying for guidance, Akiane found her model: “I told my mother that that was him.”
Stolen, Lost, and Found
The painting was stolen, kept in darkness for 16 years, and later sold. “To be able to see this into the light again, after so many years,” she said, “It was amazing to me.”
Legacy and Return
Sold for $850,000 in 2019, “Prince of Peace” now resides in the Belóved Gallery. The buyers see themselves as “stewards… to protect this masterpiece for generations to come.”
