MY FIANCÉ PROPOSED WITH THIS RING

The Proposal
When he dropped to one knee, I expected magic. But the ring “wasn’t what I’d dreamed of.” It had no sparkle, just “intricate engravings” and a smoky, dark stone that seemed alive. I forced a smile but felt uneasy.

The Discovery
A week later, I found a photo of Zach with another woman—Camille—wearing the same ring. He admitted, “She was my fiancée before you,” and told me Camille “disappeared” months before their wedding. The ring was found in her belongings, and he kept it, hoping it could have “a new beginning.”

The Warning
Two nights later, someone taped a photo of me wearing the ring to our door, with the words: “You’re next. Return it.” Police found no clues. We learned the ring was linked to a dark occult society, a “symbol of devotion” with a sinister history.

The Aftermath
Zach claimed ignorance, but I couldn’t trust him anymore. We postponed the wedding, and I returned the ring. Sometimes, “the past doesn’t stay buried,” and “the things we wear… carry stories we were never meant to inherit.” If you feel something’s wrong, trust your instincts.
