Three Young Sisters Found Dead; Father Wanted for Murder
Authorities have confirmed that Paityn, 9, Evelyn, 8, and Olivia Decker, 5, were found dead on June 2 near Rock Island Campground in Chelan County, Washington. The girls were last seen during a court-approved visit with their father, Travis Decker, 32, who is now the primary suspect in their deaths.
Manhunt for Travis Decker Intensifies
Decker’s white GMC Sierra truck was found at the campsite, but he was missing. “It is unknown whether Decker is currently armed, but he may pose a significant risk, if approached,” police said. He has military experience and is now charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of kidnapping. He was previously facing charges for violating custody agreements.
Disturbing Details at Campsite
Fox 13 Seattle reported the discovery of “two bloody handprints” near where the bodies were found. Inside the truck were “blankets, food, car seats and a wallet ‘on the center console,’” and nearby was a tent and cooler. Court documents revealed Decker’s phone data showed he visited the campground a day before the abduction. Preliminary reports say the girls likely died by asphyxiation.
