P1. Jase and Missy Robertson’s Journey
In 2002, Missy was “overjoyed” to learn she was expecting their second child. She already loved her two sons dearly, but this pregnancy brought extra excitement. Unfortunately, she faced a painful miscarriage due to a tubal pregnancy, where the embryo implants in the fallopian tube instead of the uterus.
Missy described the experience as “mental anguish” because she had to undergo a difficult procedure to remove what could have been their child.
Despite the loss, Jase and Missy found hope in a new pregnancy. Soon, they were expecting a baby girl named Mia.
The news was “bittersweet” because Mia was born with a congenital anomaly, bringing new challenges for the family. While Missy felt overwhelmed by their situation, Jase viewed it differently, offering a contrasting perspective.
