Scientists in Argentina have uncovered a perfectly preserved 70-million-year-old
dinosaur egg near the Río Negro in Patagonia.
During a livestream announcement, researchers cheered as they revealed the find,
saying “It was so well preserved that it looked recent” and “We’ve never seen anything like it.”

The egg was discovered during Cretaceous Expedition I,
alongside fossils from ancient reptiles and mammals, suggesting a former nesting ground.
Experts believe the egg likely belonged to a Bonapartenykus, a bipedal carnivorous dinosaur.
