Sisters found holding hands
Sisters Lost in Texas Floods
Blair, 13, and Brooke Harber, 11, were swept away during Friday’s Hill Country floods in Hunt, Texas.
Rescuers later found the sisters “still locked hand-in-hand,”
holding rosaries after being carried 15 miles downstream.
A Father’s Desperate Fight
Their father, RJ Harber, awoke at 3:30 a.m. to rising waters.
Brooke texted, “I love you,” before the flood surged.
RJ broke windows to save neighbors but couldn’t reach
the cabin where his daughters and parents were trapped.
“Houses started falling apart and floating away,” recalled their aunt, Jennifer Harber.
Grandparents Missing
Mike and Charlene Harber remain missing.
A GoFundMe nearing $200,000 supports recovery and funeral costs.
“Please pray we can bring Mom and Dad home,” Jennifer wrote.
Faith Amid Tragedy
Known for their faith and kindness,
the sisters will be buried together at St. Rita Catholic Church.
“They died together, holding hands,” said Jennifer.
