The Cat Who Became an Unlikely Guardian
1. An Unusual Discovery
The quiet afternoon changed when my cat Marsa came home with
“a tiny puppy” in her mouth. Moments later, a police officer appeared,
and Mrs. Miller followed, curious to know what was happening.
2. Missing Puppies
The officer explained that “several families in the neighborhood had reported missing puppies.”
As we looked at Marsa curled around the sleeping pups,
it became clear she hadn’t meant harm—she had simply acted as a protector.

She led us through the fence to a shaded spot where
