Regional governor Oleh Kiper confirmed the fatalities,
warning that swimming in unmonitored areas is “fatally dangerous.”
Local police said the deaths came from “two separate explosions of unknown objects.”
Ongoing Threat in the Black Sea
Since Russia’s invasion, drifting mines, mortars, and unexploded bombs have repeatedly washed ashore,
leading officials to close beaches and warn tourists to stay away from prohibited zones.
