A shocking crime shook Washington state after the deaths of sisters Paityn, Evelyn, and Olivia Decker, aged 9, 8, and 5. The girls were found dead last Monday after visiting their father, Travis Decker, 32, a former soldier who lived on the streets. The case is being treated as a “brutal case of triple homicide.”
Circumstances of the Crime
The girls were left with their father during a court-approved visit. Travis lived in a pickup truck near Seattle. The children disappeared after Travis searched for them on Friday and did not return them on Saturday, as agreed. Their mother, Whitney Decker, called him repeatedly, but “the calls went straight to voicemail,” raising alarm.
Discovery and Investigation
Police were contacted, and an arrest warrant was issued for “interference with custody.” Later, the bodies were found near Travis’s truck, with “their wrists tied and plastic bags over their heads.” An autopsy revealed the cause of death as asphyxiation. Travis fled, and police are actively searching for him. Charges have been increased to murder and kidnapping.
