Trump Accuses Schiff Of Lying About Maryland
Trump Accuses Schiff of Mortgage Fraud
Former President Donald Trump reignited attacks on Sen.
Adam Schiff, D-Calif., claiming he committed mortgage fraud by misrepresenting his Maryland home as a primary residence.
On Truth Social, Trump wrote: “I have always suspected Shifty Adam Schiff was a scam artist.
And now I learn that Fannie Mae’s Financial Crimes Division have concluded that
Adam Schiff has engaged in a sustained pattern of possible Mortgage Fraud.”
Trump alleged the “fraud began with the refinance of his Maryland property on February 6, 2009,
and continued through multiple transactions until… October 13, 2020.”
He added, “I always knew Adam Schiff was a Crook.”
Schiff dismissed the accusations as “baseless” and said they were political revenge:
“This baseless attempt at political retribution won’t stop me from holding him accountable.
Not by a long shot.”
Schiff’s spokesperson also said lenders were fully aware of his residences and called Trump’s claims “debunked.”
