US Claims Major Attack on Iran’s Nuclear Sites
The United States announced it had “totally and completely obliterated” Iran’s key nuclear facilities in Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. Donald Trump called the operation a “spectacular military success,” saying, “Iran, the bully of the Middle East, must now make peace.”
Rising Tensions and Military Movements
US stealth bombers were seen flying thousands of miles toward the Middle East amid rising tensions between Iran and the US, following Israel’s large attack on Iran’s nuclear sites on June 13. These strikes have escalated conflict between Israel and Iran.
Concerns Over Iran’s Nuclear Program
World leaders are worried Iran may be developing nuclear weapons. Trump directly threatened Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, posting on Truth Social: “We know exactly where the so-called ‘Supreme Leader’ is hiding. He is an easy target, but is safe there – We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now.”
Warning and Ultimatum
Trump added, “But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin. Thank you for your attention to this matter!”
