Actor Patrick Adiarte died at 82 in a Los Angeles–area hospital.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, pneumonia was the cause of death.
He was known for roles on classic TV series including “MAS*H” and “The Brady Bunch.”
Television Fame
Adiarte was best known as Ho-Jon on “MAS*H,”
appearing in seven first-season episodes as a Korean orphan who helped Hawkeye Pierce and Trapper John.
He also appeared in the 1972 Hawaii episodes of “The Brady Bunch,” involving a cursed tiki idol.
Stage, Film, and Music
He performed in Broadway and film versions of “The King and I” and
“Flower Drum Song,” had a pop hit with “Five Different Girls,” and danced on NBC’s “Hullabaloo.”
Early Life and Later Years
Born in Manila in 1942, Adiarte survived wartime imprisonment before moving to the U.S.
He later taught dance, including at Santa Monica College.
