Teenagers Found Dead in Arizona National Forest
The bodies of Pandora Kjolsrud, 18, and Evan Clark, 17, were discovered in the Tonto National Forest near Mount Ord, Arizona, on May 27. Authorities believe the teens were shot while on a Memorial Day camping trip. Their deaths have been ruled homicides, with the date of death listed as May 26 by the Maricopa County Medical Examiner. Police are treating the case as suspicious and continue to investigate.

Families Grieve Tragic Loss
GoFundMe pages have been created to support the grieving families. Evan’s mother, Sandra Malibu Sweeney, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of her son. “This last week Evan was taken from me, and my level of grief feels insurmountable,” she wrote.

Remembering Evan
Sweeney shared a heartfelt tribute, calling Evan “funny, bright, kind and entrepreneurial.” She added, “He was an old soul who was sensitive and loving… He was special. He deserved a long life.” She also recalled a Mother’s Day letter from Evan that was “so touching it made me both laugh and cry.”
