Malia and Sasha Obama were recently spotted partying in Los Angeles with Drake,
years after Barack Obama joked the rapper was “able to do anything he wants.”
The sisters, once fixtures of White House life, were photographed at a Hollywood club,
highlighting how far they’ve moved into adulthood.
Raised under constant public attention, they learned to balance visibility and independence.
Michelle Obama said they had to grow up “politely in the spotlight while building their own identities,”
later adding, “It feels good to know that the
two girls you raised find solace at a kitchen table with one another.”
Barack Obama reflected on their transition to adulthood, recalling Malia’s prom:
“The first time you see your daughter in heels is a little bit jarring…
She’s lovely. She’s beautiful.”
Today, both live in Los Angeles, pursuing creative and
academic paths while embracing a life far removed from Washington.
