Donald Trump calls Texas flash flood “Biden setup”

Texas Flooding Tragedy
The Texas flooding death toll has risen to 80, with Camp Mystic, a Christian girls’ summer camp, losing at least 27 lives after the Guadalupe River surged 26 feet in 45 minutes. The camp expressed “heartbreak” and ongoing prayers while cooperating with authorities.

Cause and Weather Forecasts
The flood was caused by a rare storm dropping four months’ rain in hours. Some blamed the National Weather Service (NWS) for weak warnings, but meteorologists said forecasts were accurate. Wisconsin meteorologist Chris Vagasky said, “the last mile” of warning delivery “failed.”

Staffing and Responsibility
NWS offices lacked key leadership, yet still had “enough qualified staff,” said Tom Fahy of the NWS Employees Organization. Earlier staff cuts reduced NWS by 600 employees, but Trump denied blame, calling the event a “100-year catastrophe.”

Calls for Action
As Texas recovers, officials emphasize prayers, accountability, and improved warning systems to prevent future disasters.
