Heart surgeon reveals how

A heart surgeon has revealed how damaging certain “unhealthy habits”

are, rating them on a scale of 1 to 10. Dr. Jeremy London, sharing a TikTok video,

was asked by his son how harmful various substances are.

On marijuana, he said: “I’ll give that one an eight.

Chronic use increases cardiovascular risk.

People think it’s natural, so it must be safe—but it’s not.”

Smoking marijuana has been linked to lung damage, bronchitis,

scarring of small blood vessels, stroke, heart disease,

and even an increased risk of schizophrenia.

Long-term use can also affect memory, attention, and learning.

Alcohol, according to Dr. London, scores a 10/10:

“It’s toxic to every cell in the body. No amount is truly safe.”

Cancer Research UK notes alcohol metabolizes into acetaldehyde,

which damages cells and impairs repair,

raising risks for breast, bowel, liver, and several throat cancers.

Dr. London also highlighted everyday risks,

rating processed meats and

plastic chopping boards a five.

Regular plastic board use may expose users to microplastics,

potentially affecting fertility, endocrine function,

and cardiovascular health, while wooden boards are safer.
