It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing
From Shy Child to Star
Once “so shy that she would hide behind her mother’s skirt,”
Yvonne Lime Fedderson overcame childhood timidity through drama classes.
By age 10, she was acting professionally, beginning a path few could have predicted.
Hollywood Breakthrough
Her film debut came in The Rainmaker (1956),
earning her a Paramount contract without a screen test.
She gained wider fame in the “cult classic”
I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957) and later top billing
in Dragstrip Riot (1958), alongside steady television work.
Life Beyond the Screen
Though her acting career was brief, Yvonne’s impact endured.
In 1959, she co-founded Childhelp, a nonprofit serving abused
and at-risk children, later earning five Nobel Peace Prize nominations.
A Lasting Legacy
Yvonne died peacefully of “natural causes” on January 23, 2026, at age 90.
Remembered as an actress and humanitarian, her life was defined by compassion and service.
