Ex-Secret Service Agent Dan B

Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino has raised concerns about t

he safety of former president Donald Trump, warning that several risks are converging at once.

Bongino, who protected presidents from both parties for over a decade,

said his concerns come from professional threat assessment, not politics.

He pointed to four main dangers: foreign adversaries, radicalized domestic extremists,

hostility within parts of the federal bureaucracy, and a security culture influenced by politics.

According to Bongino, these overlapping pressures create “an unprecedented environment of potential danger.”

Foreign threats remain significant.

Iran still seeks retaliation over the 2020 strike on Qassem Soleimani, while China has strategic reasons to oppose Trump’s potential return to power.

Even a single determined attacker exploiting security weaknesses could cause serious harm.

Bongino also warned that heated rhetoric in U.S. politics can fuel radicalization.

Over time, repeated hostile messaging may encourage lone-wolf attacks.

He further cautioned against “politicized protection,”

stressing that security decisions must be based on real threats, not partisan tensions.

Bongino concluded that protecting leaders requires objective judgment to avoid the

tragic consequences history has shown when warnings are ignored.
