A Historic Call to “Go”

“You have sat too long here for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go.”

Cromwell’s famous words, once aimed at the Rump Parliament, now echo as over 787,000 people demand Sir Keir Starmer step down.

Broken Promises

Starmer pledged to “smash the gangs,” yet over 50,000 migrants have crossed the Channel.

He claimed “Labour will not raise taxes for working people,” yet introduced £40bn in tax hikes, the biggest since 1993.

Weak Leadership

From backing strikes to expanding the public sector to 6.15 million, critics accuse him of putting “party before country.”

His Chagos Islands deal and asylum policies are also slammed for weakening the UK.

What Can Be Done?

A vote of no confidence or a leadership challenge seem unlikely. The author concludes: “we should implore that Charles does the decent thing” and remove Starmer by royal intervention.
