Real reason Trump canceled America’s 2
Donald Trump has suggested replacing parts of the Freedom 250 concert series
with a political rally after several performers withdrew from the celebrations marking America’s upcoming 250th anniversary.
According to reports, artists including Martina McBride, Bret Michaels, The Commodores, and Young MC distanced themselves from the event, with some saying they were unaware of its political connections.
Despite the withdrawals, performers such as Vanilla Ice and Flo Rida are still expected to participate, although the final lineup remains uncertain.
In a post on Truth Social, Trump criticized the departing artists and proposed a different approach.
He wrote, “We should have a giant MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN RALLY, for 250, instead of having overpriced singers, who nobody wants to hear, whose music is boring, and yet who do nothing but complain.”
Trump also suggested canceling the concert series altogether, writing, “Cancel it.” He later proposed an “AMERICA IS BACK Rally” as an alternative.
In the same post, Trump compared his popularity to that of Elvis Presley, describing himself as “THE GOAT” and claiming he attracts larger audiences than “Elvis in his prime.”
