military helicopter while preparing to land at Reagan National Airport,
marking one of the deadliest U.S. aviation accidents in over a decade.
Remembering Danasia Elder
Flight attendant Danasia Elder of Charlotte, North Carolina, was among those killed.
She was devoted to her faith, her husband, and her two children, Kayden and Dallas.
Her family said she brought warmth and kindness to every part of her life.
Loved by Family and Colleagues
Her brother-in-law Brandon Payne described Elder as “full of life,”
noting her love for travel and gratitude for her career.
Fellow flight attendant Ian Epstein, also from the Charlotte area,
was remembered as a seasoned and dedicated professional.
Crew and Loss
Pilots Jonathan Campos and Samuel Lilley were praised for their professionalism.
In total, 67 passengers and crew members lost their lives,
devastating families and communities nationwide.
